Frase researches, writes, and optimizes content for AI citation. CrawlReady diagnoses and fixes the technical crawlability layer underneath that content — a different core job.

Frase is a content operating system covering research, AI-assisted drafting, SEO and GEO scoring, publishing, and monitoring in one connected workflow. It publishes directly to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix, or its own FraseCMS.
It also ships free standalone tools — a "GEO Score Checker," "AI Visibility Checker," and "Agent Readiness Checker" — the last of which names the same concept as CrawlReady's own Agent Readiness sub-score.
Pricing starts at $39/mo billed yearly for entry access, with most teams reported on the Professional tier at $103/mo.

Frase and CrawlReady both use "GEO" and "Agent Readiness" language, but they're solving different problems in the same pipeline. Frase is content-first: it helps a team research, write, and score content so it's more likely to be cited. CrawlReady is infrastructure-first: it checks whether AI crawlers can technically reach, render, and parse whatever content already exists — independent of how well that content is written.
Frase's free Agent Readiness Checker and CrawlReady's Agent Readiness sub-score name overlapping concepts, but CrawlReady's version is one-third of a full 0–100 diagnostic that also scores Crawlability and Agent Interaction, with a visual diff and public shareable URL Frase doesn't offer.
The honest framing: perfectly optimized copy from Frase is still invisible to GPTBot if the page is JS-rendered with no prerendering, or missing structured data. CrawlReady catches that failure mode; Frase's content and citation-monitoring tools are not built to.
Teams whose bottleneck is content — research, drafting, and on-page optimization — who want that workflow and citation monitoring in one platform.
Teams that want to confirm the technical layer (rendering, schema, crawler access) isn't silently capping the return on their content investment.
